Bridget Anebi, Kaduna Former member of the House of Representatives who is running fir the eputy governorship candidate of Borno State on the ticket of ADC Hon. Abba Haruna Ibrahim has said that he supports the party's Presidential candidate in next year's elections Atiku Abubakar against President Ahmed Tinubu because of the former's courage in telling truth to power. Hon. Ibrahim in an exclusive chat with The Mandate in Kaduna State Monday declared that it is the duty of every citizen to tell the government the truth. "As citizens, it is right to tell the present administration the truth and that is what Atiku Abubakar is doing," he said, adding, "It is only those who are happy with the current insecurity that are in support of this bad government. As a good ambassador of Nigeria, the Wazirin Adamawa has to tell President Bola Ahmed Tinubu the truth; that's what he stands for". According to the former law maker, the failure of the Tinubu-led government in addressing insecurity, education and the Almajiri system has forced many Nigerians to look towards Atiku. "Everything has become too difficult," he said. "It is hard for people to est or even go to school, even close by. Nothing has changed in the Almajiri system. The government only uses it as part of its politics," he lamented. Ibrahim described Atiku as a competent and experienced leader, having served as Vice President, and called on Nigerians, especially farmers whose agricultural activities have been truncated due to insecurity, to support him in 2027.
