Benue Governor Hyacinth Alia last week got a fore taste of what to expect in the run up to next year's gubernatorial elections when several a prominent governorship aspirant and several others exposed the state government's propaganda claiming achievements by the Alia administration. Ahead, during and in the wake of the recent visit of Sen. Mrs Remi Tinubu to Benue State, the state and other sponsored media outlets were awash with publications celebrating the commissioning by the first lady of roads across the state totalling about eleven kilometers in various parts of the state capital with the office of Gov. Alia's CPS describing the development as 'landmark achievements' of the administration. However, several commentators took to social media condemning the administration's false propaganda and exaggerated claims, with a particularly trenching condemnation coming from three time member of the House of Reps and governorship aspirant on the platform of the ADC, Iorwase Herman Hembe. In a well publicicized statement, Hembe queried if, after receiving more than a trillion naira from the Federation accounts in three years, eleven kilometers of roads were what Benue people deserved from the Alia administration.
